Long time before the famous expansion of Ildefons Cerdà, which became what we now know as the Eixample, a part of the population of Barcelona -due to its low purchasing power- had already begun to look for new areas to settle beyond the walls that limited the city, resulting in what could be considered one of the first expansions of Barcelona: the neighborhood of Poble Sec.

At the foot of the Montjuïc mountain, Poble Sec offers Barcelona lovers an ideal selection of the best of the city, with a perfect blend of mountain and sea, thanks to its privileged location just 15 minutes walk from Las Ramblas -where the bustle and shopping are protagonists on a daily basis- and simultaneously only a few minutes from the promenade and Montjuïc mountain.
