Port of Barcelona

Hotel Serhs del Port is situated very close the Port of Barcelona, just 500 meters. The port of Barcelona is the biggest in the Mediterranean Sea in the number of cruises and the fourth in the world (just behind the Caribbean harbors). Barcelona receives cruises of big enterprises like “Royal Caribbean”, among which you can find the “Liberty of the Seas”, the biggest cruise in the world.

The port zone is also known by its history, culture and leisure. At 600 meters from the hotel, you can find the Columbus monument, the point of union between Las Ramblas and Colón Promenade. Next to the Columbus monument there is a historic and military building of Gothic style of the 13^th century. Since the year 1936 the building has been headquarters of the Maritime Museum of Barcelona, where are exposed ancient boats, old navigation tools, and other valuable pieces.

Going for a walk through the Ramblas in direction Plaza de Cataluña, you can enjoy a vibrant environment during the day or at night with lots of bars, restaurants and leisure venues. Walking through la Rambla de Mar, in the end you'll see Muelle de España where is located the famous shopping center “Maremagnum”. There you will find fashion shops, restaurants, bars and cafeterias and also a cinema. At the same wharf is also the “Aquàrium of Barcelona” and IMAX, a cinema that offers 3D experiences.
